Written Phone List
Keep a written list of important phone numbers. Cell phones are great as long as they are in your possession and working properly. The emotional intensity can make it difficult to find items that were on counters or desks and have moved due to the shaking. A small cell phone can be misplaced or lost in the chaos. You may need the phone number of the fire department, EMS or a relative fast. By writing out a list of important numbers, placing the list in a plastic sleeve and securing to a heavy piece of furniture, it can be your backup in times of trouble.
